This EPDM sponge bonnet seal – 24mm x 14.5mm is a high-quality, aftermarket reproduction of the following MGB vehicle seals:
This particular radiator and bonnet seal has a maximum width of 24mm and a height of 14.5mm. However, due to the flexible nature of this product, these figures may be rounded to the nearest whole/half number. As this product offers excellent compression rates. you should view the measurements as the maximum area size that this product will fill. This product will easily compress to fill any irregularities or uneven surfaces to provide superior sealing.
This product has been designed, specifically, to be able to withstand a variety of impacts, while still maintaining its original shape. This ensures that you are able to get a lot of use out of the product without fear of warping or deterioration.
This seal is manufactured from high-quality EPDM rubber, due to the unique properties the material offers. EPDM offers outstanding resistance to heat, ozone, and weathering, while also offering good resistance to both polar substances and steam. EPDM also has excellent electrical insulating properties, and is able to withstand a range of chemicals from ketones and ordinary diluted acids, to alkalis. Lastly, EPDM provides an airtight and watertight seal.
This product can be cut using standard household tools to meet any size you require, and attached using one of our superglues.
