Product Information
Fluorosilicone Sheeting
Fluorosilicone is a variation of standard silicone rubber, so it maintains all of the characteristics of silicone, such as high temperature resistance and low compression set. However, fluorosilicone also offers excellent resistance to volatile fuels, oils, solvents, and chemicals.
Fluorination involves the introduction of fluorine atoms to the raw silicone compound, under controlled conditions. As the fluorine is atomically-bonded, the material maintains this treatment permanently, so the enhanced chemical resistance will not dissipate over time.
This fluorosilicone sheeting features excellent temperature stability in the range of -53°C to +260°C, and offers excellent resistance to ultraviolet light, ozone, seawater, and other forms of weathering.
