Platinum Cured Silicone Sheeting

This platinum cured silicone sheeting is ideal for the food, beverage, and medical industries, as it contains no peroxide by-products.

Silicone sheeting is, generally, peroxide cured. Platinum cured silicone offers a number of advantages over peroxide, such as being non-yellowing, having a visually more transparent appearance, lower shrinkage, and higher tensile and tear strength. It also does not stick to itself in production, meaning talc is not required when being processed.

This sheeting meets the requirements of the FDA, EU 1935/2004, and BfR classifications for non-toxic materials for food and beverage contact. It also been WRAS approved for use with potable water up to 85°C, meets the flammability requirement of FAR 25/ JAR 25/ CS 25 Appending F, Part 1, (a)(1)(iv) and (a)(1)(v) horizontal flammability tests, and meets the requirements of automotive standard Part 571FMVSS302.

As standard for silicone, this sheeting features excellent temperature stability in the range of -60°C to +230°C, and offers excellent resistance to ultraviolet light, ozone, seawater, and other forms of weathering.
