EPDM Sponge D Section – 25mm x 24mm

This EPDM sponge D section is a highly durable seal or edge protector.

The top surface of this particular sponge section has a curved design which gives the product two main benefits. Firstly the round surface allows for superior impact protection due to its higher rates of compression, while still being able to maintain its original shape. Secondly, when using this product as a seal, the curve allows the product to easily fill any uneven surfaces, as well as conform to irregularities in a wide range of surfaces.

The width and height of this particular product are both around 25mm. This shape ensures that every surface has the same strength, which helps to reduce warping and deterioration and, ultimately, increases the life expectancy of the product. This product also features an inner hole with a width of 19mm and a height of 11.5mm, which is perfect to run cable or wires through. When using this product in outdoor applications, the excellent resistance to weather and temperature will also help to protect cables. If left empty, the hole allows for superior compression rates which allows the product to easily protect against impact.

This product has been designed, specifically, to be able to withstand a variety of impacts, while still maintaining its original shape. This ensures that you are able to get a lot of use out of the product without fear of warping or deterioration.

We manufacture this product from a high-quality EPDM rubber due to the unique properties the material offers. EPDM offers outstanding resistance to heat, ozone, and weathering, while also offering good resistance to both polar substances and steam. EPDM also has excellent electrical insulating properties, and is able to withstand a range of chemicals from ketones and ordinary diluted acids, to alkalis. Lastly, EPDM provides an airtight and watertight seal.

This product can be cut using standard household tools to meet any size you require, and attached using one of our superglues.
