This EPDM sponge door seal 16mm x 14mm is a highly durable sealing solution. It is suitable for use as a hood cantrail seal for Jaguar MK7 Saloon type classic vehicles. This seal replaces an original product with the part number BD 4814. When we manufacture new versions of old seals we always aim to keep the shape and dimensions as close as possible to the original. This ensures that our seal installs as well as functions as you would expect. However, we do try to use higher quality materials where possible. Higher quality materials enable our seals to be in use for much longer while also offering superior sealing capabilities.

We manufacture this seal from a high-quality EPDM sponge material due to the unique properties the material offers. EPDM offers excellent air as well as watertight properties. This particular characteristic naturally lends itself to sealing applications. EPDM is also resistant to a wide range of chemicals which means that our product requires little to no maintenance.

This particular door seal has a maximum width of 16mm and a height of 14mm. However, due to the highly flexible nature of the material you should view these measurements as approximates as we always round to the nearest whole number. As this seal is highly flexible it will easily fit in areas smaller than the measurements we have given. It also allows our product to fill any irregularities or uneven surfaces.
