Foam Shock Pad Underlay | Artificial Grass Underlay

Our foam shock pad underlay provides combines excellent impact absorption properties with quick and simple installation. This product enables you to turn any outdoor space into a safe play area. You can also use it on roof terraces and balconies to create a level surface for matting or artificial grass.

The interlocking puzzle design enables our underlay to cover a large area while creating a secure and sturdy surface. It also enables you to connect the underlay together without the need for adhesive. The pads can also be cut to fit around any objects or play equipment.

We supply this product in a choice of two tile sizes in a variety of thicknesses. This enables you to tailor the impact protection to suit your unique requirements.

This product is designed to be used as a base layer for artificial grass and other types of matting.

Excellent Impact Absorption

We regularly supply our underlay for use in schools and children’s outdoor playgrounds. As the name suggests, our foam shock pad underlay creates a great impact-absorbing base layer. You can then install artificial grass or another type of matting on top of it to create a visually appealing appearance.

We test all of our underlay pads in order to ensure that they conform to EN 1177:2008 safety standards. Depending on the tile thickness and sub-base, it is possible to achieve critical fall heights from 1.2m up to 3m.

Please note: our thinner 12mm thick tiles are not suitable for use in critical fall height applications. These tiles are designed to create a smooth, level surface on roof terraces and balconies.

Efficient Drainage

Our foam shock pad underlay is perforated in regular intervals to allow for quick and efficient drainage. This helps to prevent water from collecting in order to preserve the look of your artificial grass or matting. It also enables you to use our underlay in astroturf and sports applications.

We manufacture our underlay from a closed cell, polyethylene bonded foam. This material will not absorb liquid, which ensures that it will not be damaged from frequent rainfall.

Sheet Sizes

As you can see above, we supply our shock pad tiles in 2 different sizes. This enables you to tailor the tile coverage to suit your specific application. The larger size tiles enable you to quickly cover a large area, reducing the number of tiles required. While the smaller tiles work perfectly in smaller more intricate areas, they are also much easier to handle.
