Our RubbaMulch loose rubber mulch has been specially developed to emulate the appearance of wood chips. This means it still provides an attractive finish to playgrounds, gardens, pathways, etc. but with the additional benefits that rubber supplies.
Made from recycled and shredded SBR tyres, RubbaMulch is non-toxic and contains UV-protected colourings. Unlike standard wood chips, RubbaMulch will not rot or attract insects, and does not create dust or absorb water. Please note, however, all colour-coated rubber products, over time, will expose the inner tyre rubber, due to UV degradation and wear from use; as a result Carbon Black within the original recycled tyre may leave black marks on users.
While RubbaMulch can be mixed with binder for a permanent installation, it can also be used as a loose-fill material. The loose rubber mulch is an ideal substitute for sand or traditional wood or bark chips. It is easier to manage, easier to maintain, and provides a much more durable solution.
