This EPDM sponge hood seal 28mm x 23mm is a highly durable sealing solution. It is suitable for use as a hood seal in Triumph Spitfire classic vehicles. A problem classic car enthusiasts often face is trying to find replacement parts for their classic vehicles. Original parts often command a high price or show signs of use and deterioration. This particular hood seal has a maximum width of 28mm and a height of 23mm. The seal also features a solid rubber base with a height of 5mm which enables it to slide into place. The base also provides a secure strip that runs throughout the length of the seal to prevent warping and deterioration.

We manufacture this hood seal by combining two high-quality materials to give our product the benefits from both. We make the base from a solid rubber EPDM, which is a fairly rigid material. Rubber EPDM also has a large working temperature range from -40°C to +120°C, which makes it perfect for use in outdoor applications. We manufacture the top section from a sponge EPDM material, due to the excellent sealing properties the material offers. Sponge EPDM is air as well as watertight which enables it to easily protect the internal components of the vehicle from the elements. It also has great resistance against a wide variety of chemicals which ensures that our seal won’t deteriorate while in use.
