SaferWeave Grass Protection Mesh | Heavy-Duty

Our SaferWeave heavy-duty grass protection mesh is the ideal ground reinforcement product for a number of applications.

This high-quality product combines the excellent ground protection properties found in our Grasshield products with additional slip resistance. This product is manufactured and independently tested to meet BS 7976-2 safety standards. SaferWeave® is the only product to offer up to a 33% increase in slip resistance compared to standard grass protection mesh.

Aside from offering excellent slip resistance, SaferWeave mesh is also a lot more flexible than other reinforcement mesh products. This enables you to quickly and easily install our heavy-duty grass protection mesh over the most uneven surfaces.

To install the mesh, we always suggest using our metal U-Pins. For a secure installation, you will require 25 pins per 1m x 10m roll and 100 pins per 2m x 20m roll. This will hold the mesh in place during the wettest winters and the harshest summers.

Thickness Options

SaferWeave mesh is produced in three different thickness options. This can help bring costs down, while also providing you with the highest level of surface protection. Below is a selection of our standard mesh thicknesses, as well as some of the popular uses for each grade. Don’t hesitate to get in contact with us if you are unsure which grade best suits your application.

9mm: Suitable for pedestrians, wheelchair access, overflow car parks, temporary access.

11mm: Suitable for occasional use of light commercial vehicles and caravans.

13mm: Suitable for occasional use of HGVs, access routes for fire engines and refuse trucks.
