How Many Boards Do I Need?

To work out how many boards you’ll need:

  • Look up the surface area in the table below (length x width, rounding up to the nearest metre) – this will give you the number of linear metres
  • We recommend adding 10% to this figure to account for wastage
  • Divide this figure by either 3.6 or 4.2, depending on which length boards you need – this will give you the number of boards

Attractive Range of Colours

SafaWood anti-slip decking boards are manufactured in a charcoal / red colour as standard. However, it can also be supplied in a selection of five other colours, which are available as a special order. This bright and vibrant selection of colours can instantly improve the appearance of your outdoor space.

Fixing Instructions

SafaWood should be face fixed with 2 x 63mm coated deckscrews at each joist. The screws should be driven down below the surface of the rubber as this will hide the screwhead and provide maximum hold.

If the decking boards are cut, the sawn ends should be treated again with a timber preservative.

Supports should be set at a maximum of 450mm centres.

In order to help improve drainage, a slight fall should be incorporated into the design.
