CushionGrid matting is designed, primarily, to add protection in surf and wave simulators, although it can be used in a range of applications.
The matting can be placed over the metal grates at both the front and back of the surf simulator, and the hollow D profile tube construction compresses, providing a cushioned landing for surfers. The open grid design also allows exceptional drainage. Not only are these crucial elements in a wave machine, they also make CushionGrid ideal for use around swimming pools, hot tubs, and Jacuzzis.
CushionGrid is easy to install, without the need for adhesive. The one-piece construction allows it to be simply cut-to-fit on site and reduces the number of joins.
CushionGrid is manufactured from flexible PVC. This means it is hard-wearing but can also be rolled up for transporting or cleaning.
PVC provides resistance against a range of chemicals, acids, and oils. It is also inherently resistant to bacterial growth, making it a very hygienic material.
Although PVC is, naturally, not a very flammable material, this matting is manufactured to meet the flame retardant standard EN ISO 13501 – 1 : 2007 – Cfl – S1.
