Cyano Activate curing agent is used for the fast curing of cyanoacrylate adhesives, such as our B480 adhesive. It works through depositing the correct balance of neutralising ions on the surface. This stimulates attraction for the adhesive, as well as prepares the surface for bonding. Primarily designed for the fast cure of thick deposits of adhesive or for post-curing outside of the bond line. Cyano Activate prevents the absorption of the lower viscosity superglues into porous items and helps to bridge gaps which can decrease polymerisation times.
Without using the activator the adhesive has a cure time of roughly 60 seconds. However, with the activator, the cure time is brought down to 15 seconds, making it ideal when time is crucial.
We have a wide range of adhesives suitable for different materials or gap sizes. To ensure you have the perfect tool for the job, we recommend reading the technical data to ensure it meets your specific needs.
In order to achieve the best results ensure all parts that you wish to bond are clean, dry, and free from grease or any other contaminants. We recommend this to ensure that you have the strongest bond possible. Easily applied using a brush, as well as spraying onto the target surface. Allow the solvents to evaporate before bonding.
