Product Information
Rubber Corner Guard with Steel Reinforcement for Heavy-Duty Protection
This rubber corner guard offers industrial-grade wall and column protection for demanding commercial environments. Combining a heavy-duty 20mm rubber bumper with an internal steel retaining plate, this 1 metre corner protector is engineered to absorb intense impact energy and distribute localized stress evenly.
While traditional rubber bumpers can flex, twist, or pull away from mounting anchors when scraped by turning vehicles, the built-in steel retainer plate adds tremendous structural rigidity. This holds the unit flat against the wall surface and prevents the fixing points from tearing out during heavy lateral impacts.
Why Choose This Corner Protector?
- Heavy-Duty Core & Profile: At 20mm thick across both 100mm wings, the durable rubber skin absorbs kinetic shock to prevent chipped concrete, cracked masonry, and expensive damage to vehicle bodywork.
- 20mm Thick Shock-Absorbing Shell: Crafted from dense, high-impact vulcanized EPDM rubber to cushion heavy collisions from forklifts, palleted loads, delivery vans, and industrial machinery.
- Permanent Black & Yellow Contrast: Moulded high-visibility yellow stripes (20mm wide) provide continuous hazard identification in dark parking garages, busy loading bays, and active factory aisles.
- Versatile Installation: Mounts easily onto right-angle wall corners, square structural columns, and equipment racks using standard mechanical anchor bolts or high-strength epoxy adhesives.
Applications
- Multi-storey, underground, and commercial car parks.
- Warehouse aisles, loading bays, and industrial storage areas.
- Logistics hubs, distribution centres, and freight yards.
- Commercial garages, workshops, and parking bay pillars.
How to Install
- Position and Mark Fixing Points: Ensuring the wall surface is clean and free of debris, slide the steel plate out of the rubber sleeve and hold it flush against the wall corner at your desired mounting height (typically aligned with bumper or door height). Using a marker or scribe, trace through the pre-drilled fixing holes onto the substrate surface.
- Drill Mounting Holes: Wearing suitable eye protection, drill pilot holes into the marked wall locations using a 6mm masonry bit (suitable for the supplied wall plugs) to a depth slightly exceeding 30mm.
- Insert Wall Plugs & Optional Adhesive: Clear out any dust from the drilled holes and push the supplied wall plugs firmly into place until they are flush with the wall. For added bond strength in high-traffic commercial zones, apply a bead of construction adhesive along the inner V-groove of the steel plate.
- Secure Guard with Screws & Washers: Align the steel plate over the inserted wall plugs. Place a washer onto each M4 x 30mm screw, drive the screws through the plate mounting holes into the plugs, and tighten securely until the guard is firmly held against the wall.
