Rubber Wheel Stop for Commercial & Domestic Parking
Our Rubber Wheel Stop provides a reliable parking boundary solution designed to prevent vehicle damage and safeguard surrounding infrastructure. Measuring 1820mm in length, 150mm wide at the base, and standing 100mm high, this profile is optimal for cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles.
Rated for maximum axle impacts of up to 5 tonnes at 3mph, this robust parking kerb effectively halts moving vehicles without damaging tire tread or lower body panels. Constructed from dense recycled rubber, it absorbs low-speed impacts far better than concrete alternatives that can chip, spall, or crack over time under continuous temperature shifts and heavy loading.
Why Choose This Wheel Stop?
- Protects Facilities & Vehicles: Rated for 5-tonne impacts at 3mph (5 km/h), preventing drivers from rolling into walls, landscaping, high-cost EV chargers, or pedestrian footpaths.
- High-Contrast Safety Markings: Integrated yellow panels ensure high visibility to oncoming motorists and pedestrians, reducing trip hazards when parked.
- Versatile Ground Compatibility: Mounts securely to both asphalt (tarmac) and concrete ground surfaces using standard heavy-duty anchor fixings (sold separately).
Applications
- Multi-storey, commercial, and underground car parks.
- Electric vehicle (EV) charging bay protection.
- Retail park parking spaces and supermarket loading areas.
- Commercial garages, logistics hubs, and private driveways.
How to Install
- Position & Align Wheel Stop: Ensuring the ground surface is flat, clean, and free of loose gravel, place the wheel stop in the desired position within the parking bay, ensuring adequate clearance from walls, curbs, or pedestrian paths (typically 400mm–500mm from the front boundary).
- Mark Anchorage Points: Using the pre-molded mounting holes in the wheel stop as a template, mark the drilling locations directly onto the concrete or tarmac surface with a scribe or long bit.
- Drill Mounting Holes: Wearing suitable eye and ear protection, remove the wheel stop and drill pilot holes into the marked surface locations using a rotary hammer drill fitted with a masonry drill bit sized appropriately for your chosen ground anchors (e.g. concrete sleeve anchors or asphalt/tarmac shield fixings).
- Secure Wheel Stop to Ground: Clear dust and debris from the drilled holes. Reposition the wheel stop over the holes, insert your ground anchors through the top of the rubber profile, and tighten flush using a socket wrench or impact driver.
