Our range of top seals offers the ideal solution to provide a watertight seal to any window or roof panel. This product is a silicone self grip top seal 11mm x 21.6mm.
Due to the design and natural gripping force of the product, this seal will easily hold in place without the need for adhesive. The steel core ensures that the seal holds its shape while offering added protection.
We produce this profile from a FDA compliant silicone rubber compound. They are ideal for use in high temperature and hazardous environments as well as being flame retardant to UL94-HB specification. The compound provides good resistance against exposure to fuel and lubricants. It also provides excellent resistance against water, water-glycol mixture, and salt spray, as well as a variety of detergents.
The silicone self grip top seal – 11mm x 21.6mm can be cut with scissors, allowing you to cut the strip to your desired size. It also offers great flexibility and can easily bend around tight corners or complex angles for sealing or blocking out elements in tight spaces. Tested in a variety of weather and temperature extremes ensures the durability of our product.
Sealing profiles are a combination of sponge rubber profiles or a co-extrusion of solid silicone rubber with metal inserts. These profiles have a dual function; they cover sharp or unfinished edges and also offer a sealing function. The rubber tubes are extremely flexible and are suitable for sealing windows and roof panels, among numerous other applications.
Top seals simplify the waterproofing of windows and roof panels. The top seal protectors consist of a U-shaped metal base, either a steel strip or wire carrier, jacketed with silicone rubber. These guarantee a tight grip on the edge, even if radii or bends need cover. Press the door seal profiles onto the edge by hand or with a rubber or thermoplastic hammer. You do not require adhesive or special attachment aids, installation is simple and quick.
