The opening of the inner channel is slightly narrower in design, which enables this U channel to maintain a tight grip. It also serves to transfer pressure away from the end of the panel or edge to increase protection.

This U channel maintains a constant thickness of 5mm throughout the whole product. The additional thickness provides a larger barrier between the object and any potential impacts and helps to increase the strength of the U channel.
