This EPDM sponge door seal 12mm x 17mm is a highly versatile as well as durable sealing solution. It is suitable for use in a wide range of door and window sealing applications. This particular door seal has a maximum width of 12mm and a height of 17mm. In order to make this seal, we use two different materials, which gives this product the benefits of both. We manufacture the base section from a solid EPDM rubber. EPDM rubber offers excellent tolerances to a wide temperature range from -40°C to +120°C, which enables our seal to function in a wide range of environments. The solid EPDM also provides a rigid base that runs throughout the length of the seal, which helps to prevent warping and deterioration.
We manufacture the top section of the door seal from a sponge EPDM material due to the unique properties the material offers. Sponge EPDM offers excellent air as well as watertight properties. This makes the material perfect for sealing applications as it easily enables our seal to keep the elements out. Sponge EPDM also offers resistance to a range of chemicals which ensures that our product requires little to no maintenance.
We supply this particular door seal with an adhesive strip to allow for a fast, simple installation solution. The adhesive strip enables you to install this seal on a range of materials such as; wood, plastic, metal as well as rubber. We also make this door seal with non-marking materials which enable you to preserve the appearance of your door or window.
