This EPDM sponge door seal – 26.5mm x 9mm is a highly durable and ideal for use as a door seal on Triumph Herald, as well as Spitfire make classic vehicles.
This particular seal has a maximum width of 26.5mm and a bead height of 9mm, which means the installation “tail” has a width of 17.5mm. The larger surface area of the tail allows for an easier installation process. It also ensures that the product is able to maintain a secure connection at all times, which helps to increase the life expectancy of our seal. Cheaper alternatives often deteriorate or warp during use, which means they need frequent replacing. We use high-quality EPDM, which allows our seal to withstand frequent use over a long period of time.
This product has been designed, specifically, to be able to withstand a variety of impacts, while still maintaining its original shape. This ensures that you are able to get a lot of use out of the product without fear of warping or deterioration.
We manufacture this product from a high-quality EPDM rubber due to the unique properties the material offers. EPDM offers outstanding resistance to heat, ozone, and weathering, while also offering good resistance to both polar substances and steam. EPDM also has excellent electrical insulating properties, and is able to withstand a range of chemicals from ketones and ordinary diluted acids, to alkalis. Lastly, EPDM provides an airtight and watertight seal.
This product can be cut using standard household tools to meet any size you require, and attached using one of our superglues.
