Flame-Retardant Silicone Sheeting
This flame-retardant silicone sheeting is manufactured from the MF775 compound, which was developed, specifically, for public transportation use.
To permit use on rolling stock and passenger-carrying trains, this sheeting complies with the following:
- BS 6853 Category 1A
- NF F 16-101 (L0, L2)
- EN 45545-2 HL2 (R1, R7, R22 and R23 materials)
This sheeting also meets the flammability requirements of FAR Part 25, JAR-25, and CS-25 Appending F, Part 1, (a)(1)(iv) and (a)(1)(v) horizontal flammability tests, and meets the requirements of automotive standard Part 571FMVSS302. It has also been independently tested to, and meets the requirements of, UL 94 V-0 (at 3mm) and UL 94 V-1 (at 2mm), although it is not UL-listed.
As standard for silicone, this sheeting features excellent temperature stability in the range of -60°C to +230°C, and offers excellent resistance to ultraviolet light, ozone, seawater, and other forms of weathering.
