Platinum Cured Silicone Rubber Strip
This platinum cured silicone rubbing strip is ideal for the food, beverage, and medical industries, as it contains no peroxide by-products.
Platinum curing offers a number of advantages over the standard peroxide curing. It ensures the silicone is non-yellowing, has a higher tear strength, has a glossy finish, and is visually more transparent. As platinum cured silicone doesn’t stick to itself when being processed, the use of talc is not required.
This silicone material is fully compliant with FDA 177.2600 and EC 1935/2004 for use in food contact applications.
As standard for silicone, this sheeting features excellent temperature stability in the range of -60°C to +230°C, and offers excellent resistance to ultraviolet light, ozone, seawater, and other forms of weathering.
