Rigid PVC Gripping Fixing Strip – White

Our rigid PVC gripping fixing strip is designed to be the perfect tool for our range of B and D fenders. Typically attached to the fender profile before fitting, this will provide additional strength, as well as act as a continuous washer. This serves to prevent the fixing screws from pulling through the body when under pressure.

Easy to Install with Fenders

Firstly, we recommend lining up the end of the strip approximately 1.8 metres from the bow. Line up the fender with the gunnel, then drill and secure with self-tapping screws every 225 – 300mm. Pull the fender around the bow fastening as you go around. Butt up the next length and fasten in the same manner. After the fitting is complete do not trim the ends for 3 – 4 days to allow for any shrinkage. Finally, trim and secure the ends of the insert with end caps or self-tapping screws.
